Authoritative v23 technical record

Canonical ringdown / NZH

v23 Row 23 ringdown record with Kerr-QNM benchmark data, canonical zero-echo ownership, failure condition, and the open nonzero NZH branch.

Canonical v23 result

Failure condition

The canonical branch has a precise failure condition.

Failure to reproduce the Kerr QNM benchmark or canonical Row 19 handoff—or inability of the regular branch to maintain RNZH=0 and ε₁=Υ=0—fails the canonical branch. A verified nonzero echo contradicts the no-required-echo branch but does not automatically falsify every possible UTFANSWF extension.

Open boundary

Nonzero echo physics must be derived, not borrowed from the legacy holdout.

A nonzero reflective branch requires source-complete NZH dynamics, ρ(Uecho)<1, and an independently derived inter-channel projection before numerical promotion.

Evidence boundary: Internal PASS and reproduced execution do not by themselves mean independent implementation or scientific validation.
